THE SIX COUNTIES CYCLE RIDE 12 – 15 JULY 2018
400 miles in 4 days
Plans are well underway for The Six Counties Cycle Ride which will raise money for our church and Trinity the Hospice in the Fylde.  Currently we have 12 riders and 6 support crew taking part but we need your help to find Companies and businesses we can approach for sponsorship and their logos will be included on the riders’ cycling shirts.  So if you can make any suggestions or know of any more cyclists who would be interested in joining us please speak to Stephen or Linda Heath.  The route is:-
Day 1     Church Road Methodist Church to Carlisle
Day 2     Carlisle to Newcastle upon Tyne
Day 3     Newcastle upon Tyne to York
Day 4     York back to church

LEAGUE OF LIGHT BOXES

CHRISTIAN AID COLLECTION AT LYTHAM on 19 May from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. If anyone would be willing to collect for an hour in Lytham (outside either Stringers or Santander or in the foyer at Booths) please contact Elaine Watts (Tel 722302).

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK  - 13 TO 19 MAY
Anyone who can help to collect in the 2018 House to House Collection in St Anne's in the week commencing 13 May, please contact Elaine Watts (Tel: 722302).    If your road is not normally included in the House to House, would you be willing to give envelopes to friends or neighbours, inviting them to return them to you? Alternatively, maybe you would be able to assist with a street or stall collection. Please speak to Elaine if you can help in any way.

WEDNESDAY 2 MAY
PIANO RECITAL
I am delighted to announce that we will be hosting a Piano Recital by Christine Tootill here at Church Road, on Wednesday 2 May 2018 from 1.30-3.00 pm.
Christine lives in St Annes and is the accompanist for St Annes Community Choir. As a soloist she has performed at various venues, the most recent of which is a series of lunchtime recitals at Lancaster Town Hall. The programme on 2 May will include music by Handel, Brahms and Debussy. Tea and scones will be served during the interval.
Admission to this musical event is free, however donations in support of the community hub project will be welcome.
Please invite friends, neighbours and family to join this special event.
