LANCASHIRE METHODIST DISTRICT
Sunday Evening Zoom Services
After a break throughout August, our 7.00p.m. District Zoom services have begun again in September. We gather prayers via the Zoom chat function each week during the service, and many of these prayers are posted out that evening / the following morning to a group of around 180 people across the District - so a great way of connecting in with others in prayer. If you don't already receive these and would like to, please let me or Carole know.
The login details for the Sunday Evening District Zoom Services are the same each week:

LANCASHIRE METHODIST DISTRICT
Midweek half-hour of prayer
On Wednesday mornings, from 8.00a.m. we gather from across the District, via Zoom. We usually take a look at the Methodist Prayer Handbook for the day, and the bible readings and hymn / song for the day, and have a prayer-filled conversation about issues we wish to bring before God on this mid-point of the week. It can also be a useful time to hear what's happening across the District in other places, and pray together.
You are welcome to join us any week you are free - all are welcome - and you are most welcome to simply attend, or to contribute as you wish.
The login details for the Wednesday Morning District half-hour of Prayer are also the same each week (but different to the Sunday Evening Zoom Service):

There will be a circuit service at Lytham Methodist Church on Sunday October 1 at 3pm followed by light refreshments.
The theme will be treasures and the preacher will be Revd Gill Newton, President of the Methodist Conference. The President has taken the theme of treasures and so each church is invited to speak about a treasure from their church. It can be interpreted however you wish. It can be an object; it can be a person; an activity or maybe something else.
There are projection facilities and Wi-Fi at Lytham should we need them.
We need to let Stuart Wild know by the beginning of September what our treasure will be so that he can shape the order of service appropriately. Speakers have max 3 minutes! Please speak to Janette asap if you have an idea and/or would like to present it. (Tel: 07958100041)
Our first Church Council meeting of Revd Andy Halstead’s ministry at Church Road is on Monday 2nd October at 7.00 p.m. There are many important issues to discuss. Don’t forget, anyone who attends Church Road is welcome to attend, although only elected Councillors may vote.

Someone recently brought some flowers for me from church. The floral arrangement was very beautiful and everyone who has seen it has admired it. I was really pleased to receive the flowers and would like to send my thanks to those involved.
