Church Fellowship is meeting in Ashton Gardens Café starting Wednesday 8 May from 3.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. then every Wednesday for the rest of the summer.
The Easter Offering Service is on Sunday 15 May at 4 p.m. at Kirkham Methodist Church. This service has been prepared by Methodist Women in Britain. This act of worship enables the Methodist Church in Britain and Ireland to give to the work of our global church partners. The service will be followed by tea and biscuits.
At this crucial time of change in the world, the Methodist Church, through the Walking with Micah project, is exploring what it means to be a justice-seeking church today. How should our Church challenge injustice and support others in working for justice in the future? What matters to Methodists today?
See attachment 'Walking with Micah'.
Our local Justice Conversation will take place on Saturday 28 May at Kirkham Methodist Church between 10.00 a.m. and noon. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake will be provided. Absolutely everyone is invited. This is for you! Please contact Kirkham.methodist@outlook.com or telephone 07927 410240.
General Church Meeting
Our next GCM will take place on 10th May.
The agenda will include the election of Stewards and members of Church Council.
There are vacancies for both which really need to be filled!
Please consider potential nominees prayerfully, and see a steward for a nomination form or further information about these roles.
Church Road Prayer Hub
We are exploring the setting up of a ‘Prayer Hub’ for Church Road congregation.
Prayer requests would be made to the Coordinator who would email people on the Hub.
People on the Hub undertake to pray for the person / situation as requested immediately on receiving the email.
Please see Janette Farley for more information.

Saturday 14 May at The Drive Methodist Church from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
Grave Talk is a Cafe space to talk about life, death, dying, funerals, and grieving. The session encourages us to consider death as an aspect of life but it is perhaps one that we don’t like to think about too often.
Grave Talk offers an opportunity to talk about those issues we perhaps find difficult or have not thought through until we need to. It offers ideas, peer support and the opportunity to share experiences. Please come along, bring a friend. This is open to all, all are welcome. Any questions contact Judith on 07586842846 Judith Smith – Pastoral Lay Worker.
(If anyone can't make the Saturday but would like to participate, there is another group at Freckleton on Monday 16 May at 2.00 p.m., if you would like to come along to that.)
Thursday 25 May at 12 noon.
